puncherashun, its makes its easier to read if its not one big long sentencewith no pauses or stops in it as you can see from this example if you just keeptyping letters and not use any punccheratshun marks it all becomes very a big long thing that is hard to fully comprehend and if you misspill stuff as well as pu tting caps in yo re wurd s it makes it even hoar der to reed so ferthesake of making life easy fer u s a ll canu try and makesentences out or yer post s

I have broken an oil scraper ring on one of my new pistons. Would I be stupid to not to buy a new set and fit a brand new oil scraper ring, or will fitting an old one not really make all that much difference?

Ordered! My new pistons are std size britpart pistons. I'm a bit concerned as to their quality (what with being britpart). They look solid and well made but will they last?

Alright Slob ill try and make sentences if its hard for you to work out. Anything to make life easy i say and it isn't as if im wrighting a novel is it. Thats a shame Pos i smiled when i opened my new pistons today, and saw that the rings were already fitted. Well thats the sump on, and the head torqued down now, so only the tappets to adjust and all the other bits to fit back tomorow, so should only be a couple of hours and ill be back on the road.

see, now yer jumping to conclushuns. I dint say i couldn't work it out. so maybe its yerself that can't work stuff out.

lets say you decide to ask fer help on here, a lot of folk dint bother reading stuff and trying to work out exactly what yer on about if its just one big long spluge of wurds.
so yer might well miss out on that all important bit of info because you can't be arsed to still a few pauses into yer posts.

it dunt need to be a novel, we've got charlesy fer them. just rited in a way folks can reed

Hello :D

Not managed to do anything today, been working solid.

My pistons did come with rings but I managed to snap one of the oil scrapers. The garage that I bought all the bits off gave us a new set of rings for nowt so should be able to get the job finished tomorrow and Sat. All pistons in, just need to take number 4 out and change the ring (put an old ring back on!). What torque did you tighten the end caps up to, and how tight have you done your head?

Can't wait to get it running again!

I'm not Slooob, don't worry. I have a whole day to get it done tomorrow, so should be alright. Got a load of running in oil, new gaskets, new oil filter and I've painted the head so should be gurrd.
