Did you try the lathe trick on any of the old ones, now they're not critical? Sounded like a nice method to me.

Yep, and all it did was take the tip off the tool.....(tool had to be thin to fit in the groove)

Don't know yet as Adam has the Pistons and the Block is in my Engineering Workshop at Heathrow!!

Don't forget to glaze bust the block, it's best you have new pistons as the old one/s are obviously weak in places.

Block has been cleaned and rehoned....bores measured and wear appears minimal....
Once I pick the blocks up from Adam (Sunday Mid Morning if he is around) I will check then in the bores measurement
