just had a thought - want to tell all you guys our there a bit about myself.
Before moving to my current address I lived in KINGS NORTON, (about a 5 min drive from the address of the guy who stole my car ) I dont know the guy though I do know his name, maybe he's seen me over there visiting my mum?
I used to play Rugby for Kings Norton, Still have contacts with all the guys -bloody big guys Rugby players ! I used to drink in the "best pubs" in Kings Norton e.g. the Bulls head the Maypole, the Camp etc. Met some troubled and angry guys in my time but I used to buy them a pint or 2 to ensure I got home in one piece!!! could be visiting some of the old faces again very soon.
Its amazin what these guys will do for a few quid.
Just in case anyone is interested !!!:D

P.s. Its still not too late to give my car back! soon it will be hard to drive anything with no knee caps.get my drift ?

the more i read this blokes comments the more i think he's just full of BS

Sean, you do have a point. Not sure I'm with you 100% though.

It does sound pretty genuine.

But in some of the posts, it starts to seem a little strange.

I reckon theres a 55% chance of genuine. 40% chance of a member winding us up. And a 5% chance of just been a troll

By the way, if the police aren't doing anything. Go stand outside the house, ring 999 and say you went around to ask politly for the landy back, and he pulled a gun. They'll be there in minutes.

I have no idea whether any of this is real or not but what I will say is that the landrover is a car, a posession.. if this is real you are gonna make yourself ill over it and that aint good... you have done the investigation, good effort cos unfortunately our police force are too busy meeting targets and completing paperwork to be allowed to do that.. but now hand it over to the police and let it go.. settle with the insurance company and move on..

sorry if this seems harsh but I have seen people I care about letting things like this get to them and it never ends well

I'm rather possesive about my vehicles myself. I took a gang of 25 kids on a couple of months ago cos they threw a spud at my Astra. The police are as much use as a chocolate ashtray on the back of a motorbike. The rules are quite simple. Do to the little ****s what they do to others. MAKE THEIR LIVES HELL. If I catch anyone playing with any of my vehicles they get to understand this VERY quickly. I still haven't had the chance to 'chat' to the prick that had a go at my landy last year.:mad::mad:

probly still watchin!!!!wot he needs is someone t go n break his limbs and then take his 90 om,n tell the police its just happened t turn up.cos if ya wait fa the police t do owt yul neva get ya land rover bak!

No I think you will find they will not show up - they don't want to have to have a gun battle.

What you do is call them up and tell them that he has a gun - they will tell you they are too busy.

1 minute later phone them back and tell you shot him with a shotgun and they will be there in a flash - they will say I thought you shot him to which you can reply I thought you were too busy!

Sorted!

If you know where the Land Rover is, the first job is to go and recover it, before it gets sold/taken apart etc. The thief can then be "dealt with" later.
Do you know where the vehicle actually is? If so can't you just go round with a couple of mates and drive it away?

I don't know where the Landy is - I do know where the guy who took it lives , its not at his home address. Police have asked him in to answer some "questions " early next week but he's had over a week to set himself up.
Just something else you may want to check - since my landy was stolen I have been watching several Birmingham E Bay sellers selling parts/ like wings bonnets A frames etc and Landy's. Since the guy was contacted by the police they have all "gone" for over a week now. It could be just this guy working on his own OR it could be much bigger - if the police don't take it further then it will keep happening.
I have handed the police some totally concrete evidence - what they do with it is looking less optimistic by the second.
IF nothing comes out of the interview I will post a message then P M more information to members who want to know more. It wont be the end of it from my point of view.
This guy took my Landy - I think he sold/dismantled it before he dumped my belongings, Number plates & VIN plate. Once the car was gone he got rid of anything else to link him to my Landy - He did make a big mistake though but its up to the police what happens next. Its not like they are looking for a Range Rover sport of top of the range sports car - its a 13 year old Defender. To me a thief is a thief.

It's not just one landy we're talking about here. There are more and more going missing and the police aren't doing anything about it. It's about time that they got off their arses and started making some real enquiries. They're more interested in the easy low value crimes that make their figures look good.:mad::mad:

Too right. 50 went from round here last year...it's beyond belief. SOMEBODY is disposing of them, it can't be THAT hard to find out who it is.

By this point you would expect the police to be pulling over any landys that they spot driving between say midnight and 7am. I would have no objections to getting pulled over if it was in the attempt to stop my landy being nicked.
