hi sorry the pedal hits the floor when engine runs no warning lights on

The full story is i replaced my old V8 which i put in some time ago with the one which i am now trying to get to start,when i 1st put it in the engine it run for about 4 mins each time but once it had cut out it wouldnt start so I have replaced all the plugs dizzy,cap,coil as the rotor arm tested out ok the car still wouldnt start.i was then advised to clean the carbs as i had re moved the plugs to see if they were wet but they was dry upon cleaning the carbs i have put these back on but still the same, my mate came and said the dizzy was shot so we wemoved it and put my other one in but still no joy. we have now put the the other one back in and set the timing to 4 DBTDC after about 20 mins of tuning over and turn the dizzy it started up and sounded great but again it cut out itstarted but it cut out and this is were i am now the engine is just turning over but not trying to start i have removed the plugs again to dry them but some of them dont seem to be getting fuel to them

Hay up mate seen that u have had issues with the timing on a v8 u could give me some advise as i cant get mine to start and we now think its down to the timing as i do get a good spark at the plugs

m8 u need to change your 8 cylinders of pleasure to 8 cylinders of annoyance
