Ok chaps.
My insurance renewal is due.
I have spent many hundreds of hours, and several thousands of £ over the last 2 years, getting my deepender how I want it.

It occured to me that I would be gutted if it were ever stolen or written off and the insurance company only paid me the "book" value for it. I therefore made some enquiries about an "agreed value" policy and got a pretty reasonable quote through Sureterm.
They want a complete list of modifications and enhancements and some photos - that's not a problem. They also want some kind of "valuation" from a club or forum. That's where you lot come in PLEESE!

It doesn't have to be a formal valuation or even an opinion of what I'd get if I sold it, just an opinion that its worth what the agreed value is - i.e. £6k.

So, later this evening, I will post another thread with some piccies and details of my Deepender, asking "what's it worth".

Please reply to that thread saying "at least £6k" and I'll be a happy chappy.
If you want to make silly comments or slag me or my deepender off, please do it here and not in the other thread - I've got to print that one off and send it to the insurance company.

Your assistance would be much appreciated.
PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE.

no (thank you) - the premium increases according to the agreed value.
I reckon, that to buy as good a 200TDi Deepender as I've got, then have all the mods done professionally, would probably cost £10k though!

just outta curiosity trewey how much difference is there between your old standard insurance and agreed value? I still aint been paid out for my deepender and am picking my new un up on sat and have to get insurance yet. My old insurance company still haven't even made an offer and it's 6 weeks on.

no probs mate.
I'd recommend Sureterm - the chap I was speaking to is a Landy nut too, so he knew exactly what I was talking about when listing the mods.
Interestingly, he said that the only mods that really affect your premium are Lift Kits, Winches and Mud Tyres.

job done, they should be happy with that get one of the mods to lock it just incase yer get a numpty!
