got intermitent squeal / shreak front of engine. Belts / bearings seem fine viscous fan left of anyone got sensible ideas as I would rather fix it before it develops pos steering but not 100% convinced on that

penny trick doesn't apply to 200's anyway.

waterpump or alternator bearing

The pas pump on my wife's 200 did this on the way home after buying it.

As the return journey was about 700mls I was very nervous about it until............................11pm, raining, windy, pitch black motorway 200 mls from home...................pas pump seized, belt broke car immobilised, got towed off to a village in the back of beyond !!!!

Fortunately I have my bike on a trailer behind the car so rode home, the bill came to 700 euros inc a genuine pas pump.

Since then I've learnt A LOT about Discos, spare parts and their availability etc.

I know penny trick does not apply to 200,s but seen it quoted so often thought i`d mention it ta.
