Armageddon

Just in case anybody is unaware, the Association of Car Enthusiasts report that a proposal that could become law would make any almost any modified car illegal to drive on the road. Yes, I thought it was April the 1st as well Unfortunately, not so. The full article can be found in 4x4 magazine back page or go to www.the.ace.org.uk/armageddon. The law will be retrospective, it is also thought that a new MOT is in the pipeline, and will fail any vehicle with non standard components. One assumes that even the EU cannot be that stupid, but don't bet on it.

This was pawled over on a kitcar forum i frequent a few months back. Turned out to be
complete and utter bovine excrement!

Apparently someone in Euroland made a murmer about it and it grew from that quicker than Jacks Beanstalk.

Its bull****, total bull****, it will never happen, the country can't afford for it to happen and it serves no real purpose anyway...

plus its not all modded vehicles, its pre-72 vehicles having tax exempt status taken away if modded...
