Well I will definitely be passing your way in August, we'll be going camping oop North somewhere, and we always call at my auntie's campsite in Lairg at some point;););)

Hey, if your flask can't make it to Blair, my kelly kettle can easily make it over to Dunkeld. When in August Grimmer? Nothing set in stone yet, but I might take a wander up the west coast this year with the landy, August 7th for twa weeks.

I'm off for 3 weeks from the 8th of August;);) we haven't got any concrete plans but we always end up on the west coast and oop north,;);)

International rescue was not meant seriously.
The object was just to have a few tel numbers ( I have about 50) of LZ peeps.
If yu got into trouble, you phoned any of the peeps yu had a number for and they would post a "HELP" thread on here, on your behalf.
They would do the co-ordination and keep in touch with the the rescuers and the rescuee.
That way intermittent phone probs could be minimised.
The co-ordinator would dish out tel numbers and map refs to those of use.

Not a good idea to post " there's a disco stuck at land ranger xxxx - he is leaving it there for a day or so".
That system seems to have worked well when it has been used.
The best thing is to keep a list of lzers on yo phone. It don't matter If they are local. I can post "Buster is stuck in innerlochrie" as easily as someone in Glasgow.

All this talk of drinking and holidays is all very well but -

Has somebody gone to help poor Buster yet?
Or is he still stuck in Inverlochrie?

:D

didnt international rescue help some one find a diff or summit out in the middle or far ast a while back, making it truely international?

It's probably a good idea to visit the 4x4 Response Network forum and take the number of the local controller. They can coordinate a rescue effort witha range of members vehicles.

We are also covered by the charity's group insurance for 3rd party etc. :D

why?
this has nothing to do with 4x4 response. This is just a mates support system.
