Well i managed to blow the intake feed off the manifold twice this morning when running on lpg.

Needs a good service me thinketh?

PS. thankyou rangie for spitting your dummy out in the outside lane of the busy dual carriageway just after I pulled off the roundabout whilst going up hill with no room to get to the hard shoulder...still love ya though so you are forgiven!

Don't quote me on this, but i am almost certain the LPG is supposed to ignite inside the cylinders and not in the inlet tract. Do you have an in car fire extinguisher?

These are well known to backfire...fit a Fart Flap (Backfire Valve)

to be honest ive barely lifted the bonnet and not up to speed on lpg systems to be able to tell, im presuming a single injector in the manifold indicates single point injection?

The regulator (is that what its called?) looks very similar to a cheap unit that was fitted to a vauxhall astra van i had many many moons ago, and the switch in the cabin is cheap and installed in a crap place.. i am thinking home installation jobbie.

Doesnt run amazing on it to be fair... mergh its ok, but notably down on power and lumpy running at idle.

I did a right guff in matalan the other day and had to run away for fear of someone coming near.

whats a fart flap in the inlet look like then?

Anyone been to Ikea in Southampton. - thats enough to commit suicide. It takes ya 30 mins to park and a further 10 to find the sodding entrance..

start with ignition system. plugs/leads etc must be 100% just 1 fraction of misfire will cause detination in the inlet manifold, fitting a blow back flap will not stop this it just allows the explosion a route to exit instead of destroying the airbox.also check your maf as its prob dead now.

New plugs turned up whilst I was out. Awaiting delivery of new ht leads.

Will check the maf. Feels like there is something wrong somewhere as it's properly gutless unless you foot is mashed into the shagpile
