Disco Tray back build

had an afternoon spare so got the seats all done, and started the hammerite

Made some decent progress! got the cage all done, welded on, finished patching the cab, mounted the exhaust, and mounted the fuel tank!

^^^^ i apoligise for the above coment... i left laptop on whilst i went for ciggy and my partner who gets anoyed with me always talking bout landys........ but liking the thread looking good.

ha ha im trying to get her in to landys im slowly getting there managed to get her to sell a saxo for a little 4x4 and she just gets fed up as im always doing somthing on my landy ha ha.

Got my tray almost done, managed to screw up the exhaust hole abit.. but sorting it

remember that the water hoses need to be done in such a way that if they were to burt nobody can get burnt. should be shielded usually by a metal and should not pass through the cab unless again shielded in such a way if they burst nobody gets burnt.

Made a filler neck for the fuel tank, turned down the end of a large threaded bit of brass and added a brass cap... soldered a bit on top for a opening handle

Make some bracing for the chequer plate

i have to say and this is just my opinion youve now ruined that back end profile by making the bed all square it now looks like a bed has just been slapped on

rounded corners would have looked mint.

but hey its your motor and keep up the good work

a bit similar to the rear on this one but yours would obviously be a flat bed across

the main reason its squared is that there is only 1 place without travelling miles that bend pipe (scaffolding) and they are a freaking rip off!
so more fund derived, but it wouldnt be to hard to change at a later date, only a few pop rivets.
but i will see what it looks like after the sides go on.
