Disco 2 53platr limp mode help

Hello. My Disco 2 53 plate autobox goes into limp mode if i pull away a bit fast from 1st to 2nd gears. Doing it several times a journey! Accelerate slowly & all ok. Switching off and on resets until next time. Went through big puddle this week and went into limp. Local garage plugged into 'snapon' reader which said electrical or earth fault (bit vague). Booked into a LR specialist who thought it probably xyz switch & booked me in. Meanwhile i watched a you tube clip of someone cleaning injector loom at ecu. Mine full of oil so cleaned and car ok for a week. But fault now back. Any ideas please. Could it be dirty xyz switch connector? chafed cable going over gearbox (puddle shorted it?) Thanks

Only cleaning the oil from the ECU plug it is a short term partial bodge, replace the injector loom ASAP and keep cleaning the red plug once a week untill all the oil leaves the harness http://www.discovery2.co.uk/injector_harness.html , but if you are already there it would be a good move to do that too: http://www.discovery2.co.uk/Injector Seals.html ... then you are covered in that area for few years... use only genuine parts in these jobs
