Welcome aboard Joe, and for all the old-timers out there, can you remember what you were driving when you were 19? Can you remember being 19?

Oh and welcome to the Loony Zone.

When I was 19 I had just borrowed some money off my Dad and bought a b ran new MG Midget. Before that I had a 1960 Mini, a Ford 100E, 1952 Morris Minor, Austin Somerset convertible, Austin 7 special that looked a bit like a Lotus 7 apart from the wheels and various other assorted cars which I've forgotten about now. (Well, it is 50 years ago)!!

Sweet, this made me Smile, I had a 1500cc Super (Dagenham Dustbin)
I would like to still have it.

I always thought of the Ford Zodiac V6 as the Dagenham Dustbin.

I also had one of them a few years later, it was the Executive model with the overstuffed leather seats etc. I loved that car. I remember entering an advanced driver competition with it and you could see everyone sniggering, "he can't be serious entering with THAT dirty great motor," I came second in the comp. I soon wiped the sniggers off their faces though when I finished in second place beating people in minis, Hillman Imps and many other much smaller cars.

I remember my wife (at the time) drove her mini into the back of it and she wrote of her car with just a tiny little mark on my rear bumper.

I have to add, that neither of these photo's are of my old cars, I just found these as examples on Google to illustrate my posts for the younger ones who won't remember these motors.
