:confused2: THE FLOOR FROM THE TAIL GATE TO JUST B4 THE REAR SEATBELT ANCORS HAS A FEW HOLES RATHER BIG ONES 6INCH X 3 INCH APPROX IM THINKING OF LEAVING EXISTING FLOOR IN AND PUTTING A NEW FLOOR OVER THE TOP WITH A OVERLAP OF 3 INCH TO GO UP THE SIDES WOULD THIS HAVE TO BE WELDED OR COULD IT BE FITTED BY NUTS & BOLTS OR LARGE RIVITS ANY HELP WELLCOME.

Firstly don't bother leaving the rotten floor in. cut it all away but leave the side sections in. then fit some box sections into support the new floor and either drill and puddle weld the new floor section in place or drill and pop rivet it in place. Boot Floor Replacement

Bit expensive that though when a new floor panel is only £48 from paddocks LRD143 Rear Floor Section

when you cut out your old floor you might as well clean out the sedimenter while you can easily get to it! you will probably find plenty of rust but just clean it up and weld your new floor in. you would also benefit from buying a couple of spot weld drill bits to take out your old floor but watch you dont drill through the fooking fuel tank! good luck

HI WONT NEED TO USE SPOT WELD DRILLS AS ITS SO ROTTEN ITS FUNNY ITS THE ONLY PLACE ON THE DISCO THAT IS RUSTED THROUGH EVERYTHING ELSE SEEMS TO BE OK THANX 4 INFO.

I would just get rid off it, the sedimenter that is. I can't really see a point of having two filters in-line.

you might want to take the opportunity to replace the useless strap type rear floor cross supports with load bearing ones,like at the front,while you're there.If is that rotten,air chisel,or cold chisel and grinder back to good metal and save yourself grief in the future.
All the links on here got me through it ok.
Remember though,if you use a disc cutter or grinder inside put some cardboard or poly over the window glass as those red hot sparks can burn into it and are a bugger to get rid of :angel:

Sound advice and as I said in my 1st post use box section to support the floor.

I agree it was a bit dear, but i like the idea of using the z sections. Maybe you could get some from your local steel stockholder to use with the paddock floor panel.

Or buy 2 L sections and cut & weld em to form a Z Or find some one with a swaging machine (car body shop or ducting fabricators) and get them to make the Z sections for you.
