    Ultimate Fuel. An Experiment

Further to comments made in a recent post I have today fed the 'Old Cow' with 80 litres of BP Ultimate at a whopping cost of £101.96. I'm not expecting my car to turn in to a rocket, but to be honest I do expect 'results'. On the last fill of Tesco standard grade I got 21.8 to the gallon. So...

Coffee was good not to sure about the...

road down and back up. Well I've just done a round trip of 498 miles @ an average of 65MPH and computer tells me I got 28.1 to the gallon. I know it's chipped and not accounted for but better than a poke in the eye. P.S. All of that was for two cups of coffee! But the company I had certainly...

    Showing my ignorance...

I've just read a thread where the OP was asked if it was a 'Soft Dash or a Hard Dash'. WTF does it mean?

    I love the 'Old Cow'

Well I got the 'Old Cow' back today, with a new MOT a full service and a few other odds a sods needed for the MOT and so far it's going very, very well. It's amazing what a new injector can do. I used to have what can only be described as judder when I eased on / off the accelerator in slow...

Pimp my Ride - Starter Kit

You all may have noticed that there appears to be a culture developing in pimping Range Rovers, what with big wheels, overfinch branding, under bonnet toys. With this in mind I've decided to cash in on this trend and sell my own P38 but in a 'starter kit' format. Why a starter kit you might...

    Lateral thinking required.

OK, Here's one for you. Claw is out in his Range Rover and breaks down, so he calls Wammers on the mobile to help rescue him. Wammers appears at the break down site and realises the problem can't be fixed at the road side so Claw tows wammers home! What's wrong with the Claw's RR?

No trip to Chipping for me today!

Well it looks like my plan for coming to Chipping have been scuppered by the MOT failure, as I have less than 1.5mm of the brake pad remaining on the rear and I've no way of replacing them today. The vehicle's legal until the 5th of June but... I also have a fuel leak, PAS fluid leak, duff hand...

    What does it mean?

Hi, when on the main index page for the forum, if you scroll to the bottom of the page you'll see something similar to the attached. What does the red signify?

    Vogue v8 -v- 2.5 DSE

Well I went to see a 2001 4.6 Vogue today and I wasn't really impressed with the take off, I buried the pedal in the carpet expecting to get shunted back into the seat only to be disappointed. Should a 4.6 v8 beat a 2.5 DSE as the 4.6 couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding!

P38 Rear Wiper Blade / Motor Removal

OK, I'll come clean I am really, really  How on earth do you get the rear wiper blade arm off so the motor can be extracted. My printed LR manual neglects to tell me. Can some one here tell me?

    Diagnostic Hardware what to buy.

Hi all, In my previous post http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/my-p38s-eas-progress-report-106713.html I said I was going to 'invest' in my P38 so I have decided to buy some diagnostic hardware. For those of you that have it would would you recommend I get, the only caveat is that I must be...

My P38's EAS a progress report.

Well I heard from the garage (dealer) this morning and was told I need to replace all of the Ride Height Sensors, so this is getting done. Along with this I was suggested that I may have a sticky valve, but I intend to 'fix' this myself. As some of you may be aware I was going to part company...

There's only so much a guy can take!

And I've had enough. So much so that when I get my car back from the dealers I'm going to sell it. I've spent a fortune on this car and all I ask in return is that when I turn the key it will get me from A to B without ruining my day. Needless to say this appears to be too much to ask. So...

2002 RR Vogue SE What's it worth?

Hi Guys, I'm giving serious consideration to buying the above, the asking price is 6,995 with full dealer service history, 108K and a 4.6L Petrol. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this and maybe anything I should look for before parting with the hard earned. P.S. I don't care about MPG. --...

Do I need a trip to the Stealers?

Hi, I've set my EAS and to sensible ranges, when the cars in the access position all is well, I can them move up to normal mode and the car is even. However, after driving around the driver's side of the car goes up by at least two inches, but I have no recorded faults. Any suggestions or is...

    EAS Calibration Settings (Ride Heights)

Hi Guys, Can any one give me a default or general set of values for the EASUnlock Calibration page, mine don't appear to be correct. And also what is the purpose / use of the Heights page?

    Bloody EAS!

Hi Guys, I appear to be in a bit of a hole here. My P38's been at a local garage for over a month now with an EAS fault. Anyway, to cut a long story short it's now sitting outside still with it's EAS fault. When I turn on the ignition I get the "Max 35 ..." message, using the EAS software I...
