    D2 heater resistor

Thanks Sierra...very useful. Yes I can see the Toshiba 2SD1460 is only available on ebay from the US.

    suspension lift

Ron...if the front are stock then likely the rear ones were standard height when put on. Probably you'll need a lift kit, which in most cases is just 4 new springs. I did a 2" lift (Old man emu ones) but ended up having to get extended shocks as well, as the standard shocks are not really long...

    D2 heater resistor

Hey guys has anyone figured out if the 2 versions of the heater resistor on a d2 are interchangeable? I took mine out from under the glove box (very painful process!) to check it and its part number JGN100010, which is around £150 new. I managed to find JGN100011 from a breakers yard...

Disco 2 End of the road

What are you going to do with all the excess money you suddenly have? Beer and Women....much better off with a D2; will keep you broke and out of trouble. Just to rub salt in the wound....I've had my D2 for a few years; reliable old bus and always starts, never lets me down...sorry!

    disco 2 autobox question

I believe putting your lever in the "3" position makes the box change at slightly lower revs. I found my D2 TD5 auto far to "revvy" anyway so put the larger torc converter in. Was an expensive job but made huge difference to how the gearbox behaves.

Best tow bar mounted bike rack?

If its only 2/3 bikes there a 4 bike carrier that inserts into your spare wheel carrier as an alternative option

    Lift kit

I fiited 2" OME ones...lots of reviews suggest they are better than britpart.

    Disco 1 Terrafirma +2" lift

Looks good dude. I did similar with OMU springs and shocks light load. Makes the disco more imposing. Had to get new wheels as well cause the 18" ones with 255/55/R18 looked really small and odd after the lift.

Disco 2 Turbo wastegate arm stuck but no symptoms

thanks...interestingly I mentioned to my local mechanic who's not a disco expert but disconnected the hose that's connected to the bell housing to check for some suction...i.e. he was testing that there was a vacuum and found there was none. I then read up and it seems that hose is a pressure...

    Disco 2

Hi...I think everyone was missing the point that you wanted springs not air bags. I put old man emu springs on mine and got them from Devon 4x4. I think most suppliers are in or around the same price. Don't be tempted to put cheap springs on either as they won't last. If you're towing go for...

Disco 2 Turbo wastegate arm stuck but no symptoms

so the only symptom of a sticking turbo wastegate on a TD5 auto would be a power loss? ok but would the difference be dramatic and is there another way to diagnose? It could have been sticking a bit for a long time and perhaps I haven't noticed. Also...anyone able to explain how the arm is...

Disco 2 Turbo wastegate arm stuck but no symptoms

Hi All...while doing some general snooping around the engine bay I noticed that the Turbo waste gate arm seems stuck, although will move some If I grab it with a pliars and apply some serious pressure. But I don't appear to have any obvious symptoms. What would be the symptoms of a sticking...

    Disco 2 rough ride

I've had 2 TD5's, one with Air Bags and one with Springs (current). They both "crashed" over bumps when there was no weight in them. In my view its just the way DISCO2's are. If you let some air of out the tyres you will improve the situation. You also notice a big improvement in ride comfort if...

Disco 2 Disco 2 Motorway speed

I tend to find 60-65 is best not because it can't do more but because of too much wind noise.

Disco 2 Perfomance intercooler worth it?

Yes the HD torque converter on the D2 is amazing. Basically you capture the torque at a much lower rev range, so you don't need to rev the nuts off the engine to get some forward motion. Its quieter and more smooth too...you don't feel the gear changes. Great mod but expensive.

Disco 2 Perfomance intercooler worth it?

Chaps...I currently have: EGR Valve out De-Cat Pipe In Sport Air Filter Alive Remap Heavy Duty Torque Converter Looking for some views on whether adding a uprated intercooler will give any additional "bang for my buck" so to speak. They're expensive so anyone noticed any difference after...

    Thank god for Credit Cards

Yeah but the difficulty anyone is going to have with this is satisfying the condition that the seller is guilty of "negligent mis-representation"...i.e. by describing the Disco as "excellent condition throughout" was the seller negligent. In my opinion he was....but car dealers are slippery...

    Thank god for Credit Cards

Don't think I'm 100% with you my friend. If you buy something on CC, and there's no fraud involved (i.e. you weren't conned), then I can't see how the cc company can help you? So dropping the TV for example would be your fault and not the fault of the seller. By the same token if you buy a car...
