Hey guys has anyone figured out if the 2 versions of the heater resistor on a d2 are interchangeable?

I took mine out from under the glove box (very painful process!) to check it and its part number JGN100010, which is around £150 new.

I managed to find JGN100011 from a breakers yard (£30)...they said it should work but does anyone know for sure?

Don't want to fry something for the sake of £100.

2003 D2

Thanks

Hi, first of all it's not a resistor it's a power transistor, it will not fry anything cos they do the same thing so for £30 if it's confirmed as working you can use it without fear, the only thing i dont know for sure if the connector is the same or not so go with your's and compare the connectors and if they are the same go for it... as alternative you can fix the JGN100010 by removing that transistor and solder in a MJ11016 instead (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-X-MJ11...828018?hash=item1a658c1172:g:k2sAAOSwybpbupWO) unless you can find a direct replacement Toshiba 2SD1460 in UK which is hard

Thanks Sierra...very useful. Yes I can see the Toshiba 2SD1460 is only available on ebay from the US.
