Quick question, which I think I already know the answer to. My 2004 TD5 with rear air suspension seems to ride really rough even on normal roads. It seems to crash in to bumps rather than smooth them out and lurches out out any dips and bumps. Can I assume my shocks are knackered and need replacing?

Do you have ACE too?, if yes can you see the warning light on ignition self test? ... knackered shocks would rather make the car floppy than rigid imo but a locked ACE can make it rougher than normal, when mines were shot i felt like in a small boat on a wavy ocean

No, I don't have ACE

I've had 2 TD5's, one with Air Bags and one with Springs (current). They both "crashed" over bumps when there was no weight in them. In my view its just the way DISCO2's are. If you let some air of out the tyres you will improve the situation. You also notice a big improvement in ride comfort if you but a load of weight into her.
