What did you do with your Range Rover today

I unlock the vehicle and leave it unlocked, disconnect the battery, lock it manually, then put every lock back as it was before reconnecting to avoid upsetting her. If I do have any issues all I need to do is reconnect my RF unit, another benefit to early models. Later models like yours can be bit more frustrating with the sync but since you have the domino p38 you should be okay.

There's a sequence to disconnect the battery,slacken the earth lead bolt, turn on the ignition,turn off and disconnect the earth lead within 17 seconds.When you reconnect the battery make sure the keys are in your pocket,if you leave them in the ignition and the car decides to lock itself your in trouble. You will have to reset the windows, sunroof if fitted and enter the radio code.

I'm tempted to say "Which one?" as between us the wife and I have owned 4, a Marlin Roadster, a Gentry MG TF replica, from which I pinched the wire wheels to put on the Marlin, a Chesil Speedster Porsche 356a replica, and a Carisma Century, which I have yet to finish, although I got it on the road back in the 90s to beat SVA which i could see coming.
They are cheaper to buy built by someone else than to buy as a kit and do yourself. BUT I have rebuilt the Marlin in many ways twice! The Gentry the wife didn't own long but I did a lot of work on it, engine work, changed the diff, put it back together after an engine fire and sourced ornery wheels to replace the wires. The Speedster was factory built by Chesil but we then got a cowboy outfit to fit the Autoshift kit and box we sourced from the US, which ran fine for a long while but recently has meant it hasn't been driven for some time now, after we took it to our place in the south west of France twice. The Carisma I am modifying pretty heavily. I won it in a competition in Which Kit? magazine, or rather i won the kit. There were problems with the design which the owners club told me all about and I wanted it to look as closely as possible as the Jaguar SS 100 it was supposed to look like, but it doesn't really! Which, apart from many other reasons to do with life in general, is why it still hasn't been back on the road since I stripped it back down after getting itn mot-ed and registered back in about 1995.
And now I have just realised I am on the wrong computer as we are leaving for France tomorrow and my main laptop is packed, with all my pics on it.
Which is a shame!
So I can only put up generic pics at the mo from the web. Shame as Wifey's Chesil was the centrefold of the Speedster owner's club calendar one year.
So, Gentry looked like this, a bit except her's was two tone, black and red. which I think is nicer. Pinched the wires off it!

Marlin Roadster, short wheel base, Marina 1.8 TC based,
I cannot find a decent pic of a properly set up one, they all look lousy wheels all wrong, but here is a vague idea, and you can see why i put wires on mine. although it says, "Marina based" they all had far better suspension set ups no lever damper etc, etc!

I did actually post a pic of mine with its wires on ages ago as @kevstar had one and he wanted to see what it looked like, he agreed about the wires, I think. (long time ago now). Mine too is green with a black hood and tonneau.

Best pic of one that I could find that will look a bit like mine, at least the builder made an effort to get it quite close to an SS100, but I have made a better windscreen and not fallen into the trap of fitting P100 headlamps when p80s are much more correct and in keeping. I also sourced all the old bakelite switches etc. and had seat frames, made by me, upholstered by an old boy in the trade. the leaping cat is totally wrong too.
So there you go!

I would not have done it that way so thanks for the heads up!! With my 90, I have battery disconnects and shut it down after each trip. These modern cars are a whole different ball game :)

Better get that fire lit and warm up the garden John, good luck with the doctor.the closest I can get is a telephone appointment tomorrow morning:rolleyes: to discuss tests I had months ago,I made an appointment for 10days after the tests but the receptionist forgot to put it on the system :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I seem to be the lucky one at the moment nurses and doctors ringing me. I only have to ask and straight in. Like tomorrow they have put me to the front of the queue for the tests. Nurse phoned up please get here for 8.30 and we'll take you straight in

Yeah, make sure the driver's door is open and the keys are in yer pocket, both to disconnect and reconnect. After that it is just resetting the windows, radio etc.

Read the owners manual because if the car has the Bbus alarm, you may wake the neighbours when you disconnect the battery unless the internal battery on the sounder has died of old age.
Reconnecting should be no problem but you will have to "Set" the windows and sunroof.
