Hi all can anyone tell me if xenon projector headlamps are a direct plug & play if I was to buy a set and replace my halogen ones? I know there is new laws and legislations coming out about HIDs but I aint bothered about that I would just like to know if its a straight swap or is there more involved? Cheers

sorry ps I have a FL2 08 plate SE

Should be a straight plug in kit if its car specific, although to be legal they have to be self leveling ( the in cab level switch won't cut it) and have lens washers....if plod pulls you and has a look tough titties.

Yes it's a direct plug in kit - just disconnect old lamps, plug in new ballasts and plug in xenon lamps ! Takes 20 mins

Search on eBay for the kits
Had mine fitted to my td4 for 14 months and never got pulled by the fed, as long as you adjust the level so that it shines lower then you wont draw attention to yourself.
They transform the driving conditions at night !

Cheers m8 but you are on about the hid kits I was meaning about the projector lenses for HID

Oh right
Not sure about the hid lens - depends if there's one available for the freelander
But I don't think you can just change something inside the lens
I wouldn't worry about it - either way you still won't meet the regulations

Any h4 kit will work
Doesn't need to be freelander specific
As long as it's for h4 lamps then the kit will just plug straight in.
I got mine off fleabay
