If it's Gearbox I'll proibably stick it in garage to get it sorted. As I don't have time to sort it meself. And don't really have anywhere suitable to change Gearbox.. Don't think Property Developer woulkd be happy if he turned up on site and found the disco in his new garage Sans gearbox  Especially as the house is on the market for £1.6million

Ere James. Did yu not say on another thread, that yu can't check the intermediate gbox-tbox drive gear at the back of an R380, like yu can on an Lt77?

Am on standby, Pikey.....

Reet folks.
Trying to split a Tbox for pikey.
Where are these famous " it's just 9 bolts"?
Anyone got a pic?
I have found the speedo fitting and the hi-lo selector rods and, what I think are the bolts ( except ones a nut on a stud .
So just to make it quicker, so I dont undo unnecessary stuff and can do the job quicker.
Can anyone give me some guidance. Buster ain't done it, miserable bugger:) and the lr workshop manwell and Rave don't help - just say remove it .

DJ Xan - Robin....

CFan yu organise getting thast T box up here. Pikey has just shown me pics :(.
It might be quicker that waitingf for me to dismantle mine.

DJ-Xan - yu can drop it orf at mine and I will get it to Pikey.

MHM 17mm headed bolts, 2 are in the centre between the output flange and where th eoutput shaft of the gearbox would be. Have you seperate it yet?

Should come apart quite easily TBH. Sometimes they can be a pita but theyre usually even the stubbon ones split easily enough. Best to use a block of wood to do it on it takes the weight off the bolts/Dowels

no i said you cant remove input gear on a 1.222 t/box with the 2 boxes connected like you can with 1.410 or 1.667,to check adjust intermediate gear ,type of gear box doesnt matter,6 bolts hold t/box to gearbox 2 from front back 4 from rear forward

have taken out 4 but not sure of remaining 2 - unfortunately didnt have any ring spanners to remove crossmember today.
