value?

Where can one get a good idea of value for the series landys? ebay is a fair guide but where else. Prices seem to vary considerably.

I'd rather get one for restoration and spend more over a period of time than pay more and find a lot poorly done.

Can be overpriced though?

I used to have a scimitar and noticed someone paid £600 odd for a pair of alloy rocker covers when he could have bought new for £250 ish

I'm after a series 1 pickup that may be for sale but not sure what to offer

if its a perticular vehicle your after your probably best off just asking the seller what he's looking for, if they dont give a figure then i wouldn't be scared to just give them an offer and work from there. i'm no dell boy when it comes to buying and selling but if both parties leave with a smile then the price was right in my opinion. if someone told me my motor was only worth £x cos thats what the book said i'd tell them to poke it!

Was outbid by a £1 on a series 3 today on ebay. It was the first landy I owned and sold it about 5 yrs ago for £1500. No tax or mot now and I know it had some chassis issues a year or so after I sold it (hit a car and snapped the dumb irons then 2 weeks later pulled the back cross member out towing a trailer ) so I thought i'd bid £400 (the most I can afford) went to £401 when I checked at dinner time so thought it's gonna make £500-600 and gave up it sold for £1 over my odds.... BASTID!!!

sorry to hear that... i have missed things by a small amount. don't use round figure though - £411 or similar might have clinched it for you. i don't like ebay i'd rather visit and have a look - although i have sold a couple of cars on there.

odd numbers are always a good bet, personally i always round up to the nearest 7, won a few things with that move!

Maybe but bet it aint 5 miles down the road from me next time lol, I'll have to nick me mates ifor williams. Thats assuming it ever see's the road again someone might have just bought it to rag about in
