Unbelievable an big thanks landyzone !!!

Well today WILL from WP AUTO SOLUTIONS from durham, came to sort out the suspension calibration issues i had. Unbelievably within ten minutes he figured out WHAT A SO CALLED SPECIALIST, AN AUTO ELECTRICIAN AND, LANDROVER THEMSELVES couldnt sort out !!!! Firstly, he started to calibrate my car ( as most will know ive replaced compressor height sensors two front air struts ) BUT i was suffering with the car sat really high on the NS an these so called mechanics were unable to calibrate. Any who, within ten mins it was obvious there was an issue as the readings were unable to calculate properly. He went under each arch to check the height sensors and guess wat ........ THE NSF height sensor was fitted incorrectly !!!!!!!! BUT, i hear you all say " YOU FITTED PARTS YOURSELF AN YOU SAID THEY WERE FITTED CORRECTLY " !!! YES this is right BUT what landrover had failed to tell me when i bought the sensors is that they have been modified and now fit to the other side of the bracket !!! He changed the sensor to the other side of the bracket and just by doin this it altered the readings by 27mm !!!!!!!!!! I rang landrover an they confirmed they should of told me this but what really gets me is that the car was there last week and their " TECHNICIAN " who couldnt calibrate had checked ALL sensors and they were fitted " CORRECTLY " ??? Needless to say im disappointed in the SPECIALIST, AN AUTO ELECTRICIAN AND, LANDROVER for missing such an obvious fault !!! The car is now sat PERFECT.... AT LAST all is in order the only thing i have left to do is change my battery next week to a higher powered one.
FINALLY ID LIKE TO SAY A MASSIVE THANKYOU TO WILL FROM WP AUTO SOLUTIONS WHOM I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND ................................... AN EVEN BIGGER THANK YOU TO LANDYZONE AN EVERYONE WHO HAS ADVISED ME, RECOMMENDED THINGS ETC THIS SITE TRULY IS A BRILLIANT PLACE WITH AWESOME MEMBERS AN IM PROUD TO BE A PART OF IT !!!! ONCE AGAIN LANDYZONE THANK YOU I NOW LOVE MY RANGIE AGAIN HAHAHAHAHA :clap2:

i admit mate it was my fault BUT fancy modifying them an not tellin customers ! An fancy all the so called specialists not figuring it out including their technician !!!!!!!! :scratching_chin:

I know what you mean though
When I fitted mine I noticed they could be mounted two different ways

Aaaaahhhhh but we fitted them the same ! They were modified in august this year thats why we fitted them wrong landrover said they should have told me when i bought them ???

I just have, didn't even give it a thought until I saw this post but I'd have scrapped or sold my rangie weeks ago if it wasn't for this site, I've opened landyzone more often than my fuel flap which is incredible at 20mpg

A lot of people see "Main Dealer" service or repairs as jobs done by Gods who are beyond reproach. These Main Stealers are only too ready to knock DIY or Independent garages as mere amateurs and imbeciles. Too much emphasis is placed on the instructions in the handbook..To check the water level...take the car to your dealer and people fall for it.
If you do the job yourself and feel confident doing it, then go ahead-at least you know it has been done right. If you are unable to DIY for lack of confidence or other reasons, shout up on here and ask members for a good Independent in your area.

Mighty well said. There would be a lot less Rangeys on the road without DIY, and a lot less money in our pockets if we all used Main Stealers.:car:
