I've got a 7" magnetic mount one I don't use anymore, I take it you've got a disco and not a defended ? If so you're welcome to it, let me know

I got my CB fitted too... And I'm not hearing much, despite a pretty big antenna. Come to the conclusion that it's not quite as popular as it used to be. Although I DID manage to pick up a couple of lads who sounded like they were laning... And it was dark, too!

My antenna's 5 ft though... And after belting it on various 'height restriction' bars, even though it's got one of these big springy things at the base, I've ordered a smaller one...

Dont get rid of your big un just yet

Bring it the weekend and let someone wif a SWR set it up. You may have to use the 5ft.

I test fitted my cb at the weekend and only found one conversation in the distance on one channel somewhere. Definitely not as widely used as it used to be. Managed to get quite a good SWR too.

I got a little mag mount with mine so it'll probly get pulled off every five minutes. Couldn't find anywhere decent for the radio itself so it'll just be wedged between the passenger seat and the cubby box.

Spose I'd better get my new tryes organised now. I hate having to queue at Mitcheldever though.

Have you selected UK on the settings?

I've tried both lol kooky guy... mines mounted on the plastic trim next to my gear lever and looks quite smart

Also if you don't want that 5ft aerial... i might take it off your hands so bring it along!

Just bought a slightly smaller (2ft) one, so will try that today... Although I'll defo bring the big 'un as well... The little one was advertised as 'flexible', buy it ain't very... Lucky I got a whopping big mag mount!

Mounted the CB itself on the dash, right in front of the anti-slip tray.

going to pinch me mates muds for the weekend, there on alloys though.

anyone else heading there on fri night??

I just used screws to mount the bracket... Cant get excited about two little screw holes in the dash of a 15yr old car...

Besides, the state my interior's in, it's the least of my worries!

Got me CB fitted anorl, and me roof spots working. Happy days
