Just a quick one as well... how widely used are CB radio's???
Got mine fitted the other day and still havn't heard anyone/got a response... :-/ starting to wonder if its working now!!! Don't wanna turn up saturday to find I can't use it as I kinda brought it specifically so I can use it for this!

Ooo which group are you in???
You will be fine to use it on sat the guys will tell peeps which channel to go on, different groups will be on different channels... unless someone wants to hurl abuse at another person in a different group, or if groups need to know any info of the other groups, .. or Mr Ratty decides to do a detour to the bakery.... then we get told that its too late he has emptied it.

Is there a channel people use when they're on the road?? My dad says 19... he's an old school trucker... so i'm thinking either times have changed or he's gone a bit more senile than I had originally thought :crazy:

sweet... fingers crossed its working ok then :-/ I read somewhere that you have to tune them/adjust ya aerial but I brought this kit that says its pretuned or somat :-/

Mmmm i wont hold me breath for leftovers...one of the guys will give yu a hand with gettin the CB sorted right im sure.

Most do come pre tuned but it still pays to check them with a SWR meter.

Can be done on the day - usually several peeps with meters about if you need one...

You might need to lift it up away from body panels to get a decent SWR reading, some don't seem to mind being close to panels but others do
If you don't get a chance to get it checked and you want to use it Sat it might be an idea to get your hands on a gutter mount just in case.....(or you can pinch Vaggys when he int looking )
