I have read with interest the messages about installing a new head unit. I am about to do the same with my P38 (MY2000) it has an Alpine DSP unit with the steering wheel controls.

I am very proficient with a soldering iron so anticipate I will not have problems making my own lead. Would you please send me the link to your guide - it seems to be the best way to change to any head unit.

Wiggled all my plugs and the problem appears to have sorted itself.
Thanks for the lead, I could have fiddled for bloody hours.

Mr C. after many happy months with my sound system an issue has arisen. Both rear speakers are making and unpleasant distorted type noise, each time i change tracks the sub appears to thump. What have i broken ? The sub was disconnected when i brought the car but i reconnected it and it was working fine. Your thoughts gratefully received. Dominic

I have fitted a rather splendid Kenwood unit to my truck. It has DAB and came with an ariel. I had a DAB in my old TD5 110 which I put a bee sting on the roof.
The head unit I removed has the dab type ariel connector on it, Where does this smaller lead go to ? Could I use it (having disconnected it from whatever) so I can fit the DAB ariel in the back of the car ? So use it as an extension lead. Thanks Dom.

Hi mate been thinking of selling my v8 auto its got a 2" lift , steering guard CB rear work lights , de catted and still have cats if needed , sounds awesome but not stupid loud. Done lots of other stuff but I'm typing on my phone at help for heroes at the mo, road legal . Let me know if its what your looking for ?
