In preperation for my impending new arrival (Fingers crossed and all that jazz..)

I am looking at the Home User diagnostic Device market for the L322....

Looks to be two main contenders:

Bearmach's Hawkeye
RSW's All Comms

Anyone have comment on these and which is preferred without getting financially bugg*red on price and ancillaries...??

Hawkeye and rsw are both good for basic code reading and resets without paying loads of money.

I have the rsw and I can't complain
It's saved me countless trips to the dealers lol

By way of illustration this is an example, from just one of the twenty four ECUs on my L322, of what the Faultmate MSV-2 allows you to adjust (this particular ECU being the Body Control Unit)

i dont suppose it allows you to turn off the light check module ? that checks the condition of your bulbs / lamps on start up ?

as i have fitted some leds and would like to turn that feature off as its a pain in the arse ?

thanks for your help

Saintv8.

interesting to see your thought process.

i was just concluding I need to add a diagnostic tool to my toolbox for the p38. Should I go down the faultmate route also?

Looking at the huge number of settable parameters on the L322, I am not sure the screen on the Nanocom will be up to it!! Will be interesting to see if they do produce a L322 version.

Cheers,

Jerry

I've just ordered an allcomms from rsw, as a diy bloke can't justify the price of hawkeye or some of the other diagnostic tools so we'll see how it goes.
