just a bit of info. regarding the a.i.t. sensor ..

seems that .. if the sensor is disconnected ..
and a bosch maf is fitted ( without the ron-box maf connection )
the a.i.t. value be obtained from the maf sensor ( am assuming that )

just checked a.i. temp. .. read 27c
( a.i.t sensor disconnected )
and .. i thought it would default to -5c .. as per the engine info. pdf

The sensor in the front intercooler hose isn’t air intake temp sensor but boost temp sensor

mmmmmmm .. i understood it to be a bit different
i.e. going by some info from rover-ron's site
( although that page don't show now since his site were changed )
in that ..
the older vehicles with no boost temp. sensor would get i.a.t. data from the maf ..
and those with the boost temp sensor .. would get i.a.t. data from that sensor

i would have thought a post intercooler temp. be more useful to the ecu fuelling management

and i'm thinking .. with no boost temp. data on hand
the ecu would revert to getting air temp data from the maf

and IF .. the air temp. data is from the maf ..
then .. why ? no separate air temp. reading on the data port readers

whatever the case .. mine's running fine..
took a long drive today giving the battery a charge up
( .. after re-fitting engine mods 'n re-gassing the a.c. )
can only say .. ' be good to be back on the road again ' .. :)
