Power loss an black smoke!300tdi disco

As above loss of boost and black smoke, I ve put new turbo, lift pump, injectors an new turbo pipes,air filter an the diaphragm on the pump still not right erg blanked off . Anyone got any ideas thanks

Actuator knackered, waste gate stuck?

Changed the fuel filter?

Also, have you cleaned / drained the sedimentor thinggy?

A few months ago i had issues with my 200 tdi disco being underpowered / smoking & traced that to the fuel system drawing air between tank-sender / pipes / sedimentor that had been removed & it's terrible 'bypass' pipe...

This eventually caused issues in the injector pump so that and injectors were replaced

I also replaced the fuel pipe with (temporary) clear braided stuff so I can see if there's air in the line and fitted a facet electric 'lift-pump' relay powered using the injector pumps stop-solenoid +12v wiring as trigger, I'll probably finalise it properly one day but it's working and it's raining

No not drained the sedimentor thinggy I ll give it a go might do the timing belt in case jumped a tooth. An I ve put a new turbo with the actuator aswel

If it was fitted with EGR it means it must have a MAF sensor too, unplug it and see what happens if you drive it so, it'll be interesting if that cures it

not with a 300 tdi they have a temp sensor and throttle pot on the injection pump only edc uses a maf

But EDC is not on 300tdi? cos the man didnt say what year and transmission is his and i presumed it's late auto having EGR...though i'm not the 300tdi man, i'm stuck with the Td5

some 300s have edc used to increase power for auto d1s, egr was common but only had throttle pot on the pump and extra temp sensor

when you rev engine does hose from intercooler to inlet pressurise

Yes it pressurised wen its running. I'm thinking it's got be the timing belt process of elimination leads me to this doing it this afternoon so will keep all informed

Hi pal have you tried the filter at the side of the tank

Hi again, done timing belt an cleaned inter cooler (was full of ****ty tar) and cleaned the filter by the fuel tank just in case. Good news all seems to be good taking her for a good run 2moz and thanks for all the help
