My Opinion of Paddock Spares

I have used paddocks once, ordered hub grease & two gaskets.
Extremely quick delivery, very good price.
However the parts arrived & the gaskets did not fit so i had to make some as it was a friday & needed him back on the road for saturday !
To be honest the gaskets were about 40 pence so its no biggie !
I will be using them again !

rebuilt a complete engine, gearbox transfer and rewired a series recently with only paddocks parts, mostly brit part bearmach and all makes 4x4 parts, all the same bits in different bags, some wer genuine LR parts too,

will keep using them me self, price is right , service is spot on. damaged or missing deliveies replaced free of charge next day , what more to you want,

Nothing against Paddocks, or any other big mail order supplier, but I always try and use my local indy dealers. There are a few in and around Southampton, and most are pretty competitive for service parts etc.........Definately worth supporting small firms, and keeping them on your doorstep.

West 4x4, Swanmore
Brooklyn 4x4, Nursling
Nutz 4x4, Cadnam

All LR specialists.

On the positive, I've used them in the past to ship stuff to France (parts are 2 or 3 times the price here than in the UK). 4 BFG tyres + a couple of bits, because of the shipping issues, VAT etc out of the UK, I purchased over the phone (Noel), great service and everything arrived in less than 3 days and I only paid a fiver per tyre. Things I bought from Rimmer Bros arrived after 10 days and Island 4x4 (although v quick) I am still awaiting a reponse on for parts not delivered. My summary? Out of the 3 I go for Paddock but perhaps get them on the phone and ask for Noel.

I have been trying for weeks to get a refund for wrong parts sent, I sent them back at my expense, with returns number etc. been fobbed off time and time again.

Used them many times over the years....they have their ups and downs ,sometimes they have ****ed me right off , other times been good ....noticed their prices werent that good a while ago though this may have evened out , so I shop around now . Then I go to my local indy and ask them to match the price .

had a glazed series door top and lock delivered from them this week , the top packaging was damaged and door top had a dent in the bottom rail (very slight) phoned them and said was'nt too bothered could fill it before paint but was dissapointed top did'nt come with the glass slide lock so he sent me a free 1 :D

Dont no why people slag them off , they send parts all over the world , deal with **** loads of people every day . theres always a few which will slip through the net with any company... paddock at least try and sort the problem.. as said above ^ they even send free parts out...

I had an issue with Paddocks two weeks ago and within 2 days the full refund was in my account and the replacement parts arrived 1 day later.

Bear in mind this was Matlock to Central France!!!!

The service couldn't be beat by anyone I reckon - no arguments or bollocks, just immediate refunds and replacements.

Yes, I have a lot of time for Paddocks :D:D:D:D:D

Same here...although they only send parts to Cardiff for me!

If anything it's their couriers that let em down.

I waited 4 days for the parts to come for my landy the other week. They state delivery within 3 days. I was working nights so stayed up every day waiting. The couriers they use seem unable to find my front door so go to my back door instead. As such there is no letterbox in my back door so if you miss em they don't bother leaving a slip to say that they've been and gone. After the third day I checked up where the parcel was.... Newcastle.

It was further north than when is started:mad::mad::mad:

It did eventually turn up in the late afternoon on the fourh day of my staying awake vigil.:(

Last time I used them I paid for 24hr delivery.....hub and swivel seals, bearings, swivel pins and front prop. All turned up the next day except for the prop. Gave them a ring and they said sorry out of stock but will be in tomorrow and we'll sent it straight on.
Fair enough I think.......would've been nice to know when I placed my order but nobodies perfect....

3 days later, another call, desperate by now, where's my prop? Sorry sir I'll find out and call you back.......

The NEXT day finally get a call......Sorry sir can't send it until you pay for courier......

After a row they agree to send standard delivery......3 days later I get the prop

8 days in all and the only part I was desperate for, and the only reason I paid extra, WAS THE FOOKIN PROP!
