waking the thread :D

i use paddocks loads, i phone up and ask for genuine LR and hardy spicers etc i get good stuff i dont specifi and get mid range britpart, that will do the job fer the money :)

I can't fault Paddocks but that might have something to do with how much i've spent with them over the years!! always helpful.
have to agree with the above that I avoid Britpart stuff especially if it has a bearing fitted, other than that the stuff is ok.

im in cork ireland and use paddocks often.ive never had a problem with them and when i sent a wrong part number she rang me to check.prices are very competitive too.

Got my middle/rear exhaust off them. Ordered thursday afternoon. Was at my door friday morning, along with my bump stops. Highly rate them

hey okie, do you just come back to the forum every year to revive this thread?

You brought it back from the dead in May 2010, when the thread had been dead since May 2009...

and now you come back to revive it when it has been dead since August 2010... to post the exact same thing!

I've used Paddocks for the last 9 years now, 95% ordering via the website and it works like clockwork. I order on monday - delivers to central France thurs am.!!!!

I know its an old thread but I have been using paddocks on and off for the last 20 years and I've never had any trouble with their service, sure things have gone wrong but a simple phone call has always sorted it.
I do like to go and buy stuff over the counter if I can but its a 60 mile round trip so it has to be worth going, We try and make it a day out, Matlock bath is like a seaside town with a river instead of the sea and SWMBO likes to look round the shops in Masson mill.

Come on people we all know that the place`s we buy our parts from can have good days & bad some times they get it wrong some times they get it wright but if we are the one`s when they get it wrong we call them all the names but if you lose the rag with them when you are trying to sort it out that will not help try to keep your cool .As for crap parts you get what you pay for Brit part good & bad its pot luck like it or not :p

Whats the best way to kill competition? Slag them off on a blogsite. This happens all the time if you google an hotel for the users ratings, they reckon half of the ratings are poor because competitors give false ratings.

I book you right on this mate! I also believe that most results in Google are skewed towards the top in exchange for MONEY.....as if someone would do that! ;)

Dave

If you look at the top two or three results on Google they are on a faint pink background also there are a number of results in a seperate panel to the right, these are as you correctly guessed are paid for by the links owners via something called a "pay per click" campaign. If you Google "pay per click" or "Google adwords" there is lots of info about the way its done.
The position of other sites on the results page get there by a process called "search engine optimisation" you can Google that as well if you want to know more about it. Basically the more you pay the more likely you are to get to the top of Google for your chosen search terms.

i reckon paddocks will be well chuffed with these 8 pages at least 7 of them praise them are you sure paddocks didnt start this thread themselves.
Oh and by the way britpart are really crap. paddocks allways seem allright to me

always been spot on with me and my orders ,had 1 hicup before crimbo ordered a 5ft extreme hi-lift jack and got sent a 4ft and had a couple of days trying to get sense out of them as to when they would pick up the 4ft and return the 5ft (my biggest gripe would be trying to get through on the phone)
when i did speak to someone 3-30 in the afternoon the replacement was at my door at 11am the next morning :D
and if you spen over £50 (or might be £60) its postage free as well

I've not had a problem with Paddocks or Britpart, but I have had problems with the local independant motor factors...probably cos they are more geared toward go faster stripes n max power shiny ****.
It takes all sorts I guess
