Just a warning to you, had nothing but trouble from them!

Bought parts to do a cambelt service etc etc, first off sent the wrong parts and had my car off the road for a week till right parts came through.

And have now been waiting a month for payment returns, been fobed off everytime a make a call and got laughed at today when I requested my funds again!!!!!!!!!

Would never use them again

Well, just to balance the book of opinion a bit, I've been using Paddocks for the last 5 years, on 6 different Disco's and in that time I've have loads of good parts and 2 occasions when things weren't right, immediate refunds were provided.

That's my two penneth

I know theres good and bad, but what really gets me is th way ive been treated on the phone. Almost with contempt because I want my money back.

At the moment ive been patient and polite and its got me nowhere :(

ive always had nothing but problems with them i payed for fast postage but it took longer than normal postage and then the parts were wong

Strange, I've only used them since January but they couldn't have been more helpful. I fecked up an online order and emailed them - they changed the order and issued a refund for the small difference straight away. The girl who helped me was really friendly too.

Honestly not doubting the OP but did they honestly laugh at you when you telephoned?

I used them for the abs sensor on my discovery.. they were cheaper than anywhere else for the part (most expensive was double Paddocks price) and when it turned up it was an OEM part.. not even a pattern.. there was a delay in the delivery and they were supposed to refund the cost of delivery but never did.. I forgot all about it until I saw this thread but I'm not too bothered now.. no idea what sort of reception I would have got if I'd chased the refund.. thing is sometimes it's worth putting up with less than perfect service to save money (£80???) sometimes it is worth paying a little extra for a part to get the service that comes with it (tea and sympathy, advice, superfast delivery etc)

as long as you know where you stand with a supplier (and I think we all do with Paddocks) the choice is yours to make each time you need to make it...

instead of slagging paddocks off. write a letter of complaint to them explain your problem. and also stop for 1 second and ask your self this, what are the chances paddocks are going to read your thread or post in the forum. i would say a very big chance, the chance of you getting any refund ;no chance; and just by another chance the only place you can by a part in 3mnths and the only place left is paddocks what you going to do then, and to end things on this subject you can slag paddocks off on here but cant send a confirmation email on the part you ordered, i use paddocks and ive never had a problem but if i do im sure i would get a better response than the 1 you will.

I have no problem with their service but I do have a problem with the quality of some of their parts - especially ****part stuff.
I mostly use LRSeries now. Not quite so quick on delivery, but on most parts you get a choice of Genuine, OEM or Pattern so you can select accordingly.

Slagging off? im stating it as it is! and dont want other people to have to put up with this!
If Paddocks do read this then maybe it will ruin my chances of a refund, but then that would probably prove what type of company they are. Its been a month anyhow dont hold much hope full stop.

Who said I never sent a confirmation email, do you by chance work for Paddocks.

Small claims court next.

Hi

Well I've ordered lots of parts from them and have had a mixed service from them.

Among the various problems I have had is a totally wrong part was sent out. They sent the correct part at no extra cost and told me i could keep the other one as it was not worth sending it back. Thankfully it was a extended 9/16 socket for undoing the UJ's so I was quite happy to keep it. I broke down in France and was sent the wrong bits first time round - just when I needed them to be right! The parts took ages to come even though I paid extra for then to be sent via UPS.

On the other hand I have had many parts that were right.

The delivery is what gets me I can always wait the best part of a week for the parts to come. Totally rubbish service if you ask me. The courier always puts a failed delivery note through the door. I am often in at the time and I swear he does'nt even knock the door half the time. I don't have problems with any of the other couriers.

You are better off buying them off Fleabay if you can as often you can get the stuff sent to you the next couple of days. For once Royal Mail is better! I would rather pay for quick reliable delivery.

Cheers

John

Agree with all the above in varying degres. When it all goes right they're fine. Apart from the ****e quality of some of their stuff that is. I had a problem with them last year where it took six weeks and a ****in million phone calls to get a refund off em. They weren't even slightly helpful or apologetic about the problem which was the unuseable quality of the part in question. I wasn't going to just give up as it was 170 quids worth.

i used Paddocks for the 1st time a few weeks ago, ordered a shed load of stuff off them, and ive only got 1 complaint - no destructions with the parts i ordered. i paid for fast delivery - it turned up a day earlier than they said it would. i asked ALOT of questions when i placed my order - they were all answered in a professional manner, with good advice, and if the girl on the fone wasnt sure - she put me on hold to check what she was telling me was right.

i'd happily order from them again, and i will be sometime next week.
