What gearbox is better for off roading? The car is a 5dr 1996 300tdi discovery manual and i was wondering whick is better for off roading the manual or an auto?

technically the auto is better, but i would choose manual every time
(auto = no slip when pressing clutch + no temporary loss of control)

I prefer manual for offroading and auto for towing.

having had a manual fender and then the auto v8 rr
i would defo have a manual again i found there was so much more control
jmo tho
works for some and not others
