Exactly, which is why my daily is a 5☆ crash rated vehicle. At least I know if someone in their D1 falls off their carriageway and into mine, I'll have a better chance of walking away from it.

Don't think I or anyone else said they were "rust free" they just rust less, in the chassis, and I think possibly more down 'ere are less rusty as they are not up in Scotland etc where they have more frost and snow hence more salt per winter.They do rot in the chassis too! Just not as bad as the d2 snap off feature. I can’t see how any D1 would be rust free as there’s too many rust enhancing features from factory
