I don't think the fuse box is likely to be the problem. I have limited experience, but I do know that corroded connectors in the the kit in the rear can kill a lot of stuff, not sure though if it can affect the message centre so it may be there are 2 separate faults. From memory it also affects the CAN BUS.question for datatek..
do you think it's possible the fuse box has taken a dump (as you diagnosed for me with my A/C issue)?
edit to add: no experience with the L322 just trying to correlate how things may transfer over from the last of the P38's to the L322!
That's what I was calling CAN BUS.My feeling is the only common thing that links all these systems is the Data Stream called the I Bus......as attached....
It's the cabling that all the units connect to, that's why all connectors need to be carefully checked.where will i find this offending bit of kit??
The I Bus is the not an item....it is the data network all the ICE system talk to eachother and the Diagnotics system on....like a computer Ethernet cable....
There may be nothing wrong with it, just seems odd that it is common to all the system you have not working....
I am trying to read up on it and how it works at the moment!
No, it goes from unit to unit in the loom.i see, will there not be some kinda master junction where they all connect?
would testbook 4 pinpoint it? or just point out a fault?
I bus loops in and out as far as I can see so removing a module breaks the circuit at that point.still no nearer fixing this fault, if i remove each module on l bus and try to clear the fault as i take each one out, will this trace the fault or will the removal of a module result in a fault being recorded because it is disconected, the only fault showing on all coms is on the intrument pack recorded as l bus fault
We don't have diagnostics for the L322 but the symptoms are similar to yoursso it wouldnt work then? iv seen your pics very nice but i can assure you mine are nothing like those, out of interest what was the recrded fault in your friends case?
