Freelander2 sat nav mystery

Hi All. I have just upgraded to a 2013 FL2 XS and the sat nav works but is searching for satellites. After reading various posts I bought a cheap sat nav aerial and tried to fit it. I thought the hard drive was in the back but having stripped out all of the trim in the boot have found five ECU boxes none of which appear to be for the sat nav. There seems to be no optical connectors anywhere in the back.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Under the drivers seat on mine

Checked there first. both sides. The DVD version is under the seat but the hard drive version is somewhere else.
