I need to change a tyre... Cant find the locking wheel nut key / bolt. Where do they usual live? Where you keep it If i cant find it how do I get a new one that I know will fit? It may have a code on it or LR may have a master set they can use to find the code of the one that you have
Cheers

Answers in RED. Failing that you there are various ways of removing em depending on the type of locking nuts that they are

Cant find it anywhere... Grrr

Its the star type nut look like a new one will try ebay first

in the jack set there is a black plasic tube that is used for taking the outer cap off the locking wheel nut it has not been slid in here has it . i had a tyre changed couldn't find mine at first.if not glove box cubby or rolling about on carpet or under spare wheel.if not that code at the dealer . when i lost one when i had a defender ,get this it was cheaper to buy a new set from landrover mail order shop, than it was for the tool at land rover stealer.

Ok so I have had a look around the internet and found the Audi also use the spline style locking nuts and keys. I took a photo of the bolt

I counted 20 splines which is ABC 8 pattern.

Are these exclusive to Audi or did Range Rover also use them? Anyone else got this style of nut?
