D3 locking wheel nut removal.

I think I removed the stainless tin cap with a small chisel so as not to damage the wheel and then drove a 12 point socket over the spinning part with a hammer and extension then wound it off
Once you have them off just fit plain wheel nuts

LOLLocking wheelnut removal advice sought by someone from Merseyside
Colleague of mine living in Liverpool as a student, came home one day to find her Mini up on bricks and note under her windscreen wiper:
"Sorry about the wheels, just taken them for the MOT, we'll bring 'em back!"
Fair enough, coupla days later she found them back on!

I did once sell a set of Mini wheels to a mate whose Mini Cooper had broken down and was sitting there on the street. He was worried his fancy wheels would get stolen. This was in Bath in 1973. I didn't need the Mini as i was driving another one and stripping this one for bits. It stayed on blocks until it got scrapped. How the scrapper lorry shifted it I don't know as I wasn't there!
So thieves are to be found everywhere!!!
