With Nanocom diagnostics, the EKA code feature and the immobiliser can be turned off, then the car can be operated with the FOB or just the key blade.

Sounds like the microswitches in the lock have gone. There's a test sheet on here somewhere. You cannot enter the EKA with the key if these aren't working.

Have you tried syncing the key in the door?
turn to lock hold and push lock button.
turn to unlock and push the unlock button.
Or is it the other way round think it may be. 🤔

Or even insert key in the ignition and push unlock.

Is the antenna wire plugged into the RF receiver ? Many people disconnect it to prevent BECM wake-up while parked. Might need connecting to do the key sync (ideally somewhere there's no interference).

Under Drivers side rear shelf by the button to release the seat back the blue wire is the ariel wire
