Hi all ! Im back with wat i call good news ! IVE GOT MY CAR BACK !!!!! As you all know ive had a nightmare with my EAS changed loadsa parts then it all failed . Well god knows wat it was but the master tech who it went too has got it working but wait for it ...... He doesnt know wat he did ???? We changed the rear height sensors again and the OSR was STILL giving a negative reading THEN all of a sudden it gave a positive reading THEN the NSF gave a negative reading THEN gave a positive reading THEN the suspension set to a normal height AND the blody thing is now working FINE !!!! So guys as they say " stick that in ya pipe an smoke it " an wen you have done PLEASE hazard a guess as to wat the hell was going on ???? The specialist electrician had tested EVERYTHING ECUs the lot an found NO fault at all then it just started working again ? GO ON CHALLANGE YOURSELVES WAT WAS IT ???? PS i did see the other thread regarding that part in front of air cylinder under OS sill but i had no issues with pressure dropping wen filling just static wen filling which i had before i changed the compessor ! PS IS THERE ANY ONE THAT IS LOCAL TO DONCASTER THAT IS MORE THAN FAMILIAR WITH CALIBRATING THE SUSPENSION ON THESE CARS ? I can do it with my mate but i am scared i might fooook it up again lol an the guy who had it has got family issues so he has had to now travel abroad thanks

Lets hope you finally got to the bottom of your EAS issues

The valve block leaking back is easy to eliminate by disonnecting the compressor pipe from the in boot T piece

If air keeps coming from the T piece end then the valve block is leaking back - if no air constantly leaking then at that time valve block has sealed itself off

All I can say is until my valve block failed completely my system would go from perfect one day to dash error the next or maybe no failure for a couple days

Cheers mate i eliminated the pressure reief valve near the beginning of my crusade !

I am not on about testing the pressure relief valve as my test is for the valve block fitted under the O/S sill at the front of the air tank

You could carry out my test by removing the T piece from the pipe that comes out of the grommet in the boot floor and not even have the "blow-off" relief valve even conected

The pressure relief valve will blow off at 170 psi or more other than that it stays shut - it has no electrical operation only air pressure
 
Oh ok ! Could you tell me exactly wat i need to do and wat results im looking at for future reference ? Thanks ! PS As per first post is there anyone local to me that is clued up with calibration that could do mine as i said the master tech gone abroad for family issues ? I can do it but id rather someone 100% in the know do it for me ??
 
I probably will. Just out of interest wen i enter calibration mode an the car raises, wat factory setting height from wheel rim to arch does it go too ? Ps it has 22inch rims on !
 
No one really knows the factory calibration height
It's a preset height

What software are you using for the calibration ?

Im takin in to landrover. Just checked heights the rears are 790 ish OSF 800 an NSF 820. Im sure ive heard that the calibration height setting is 820 which is worrying me seen as though NSF is already at this? Dont want more bloody issues ! Can anyone confirm this ???

I think Saint V8 posted a nice drawing recently with all the L322 heights, do a search:)

Its booked in at the dealers tomoz for calibration an i want it setting to the SAME height all round not too keen of the fact that they usually sit lower on the rear !

It probably thinks it at the correct height all round
There's probably a height reading problem somewhere

They sit lower at the rear by design...I am fairly sure Land Rover had a reason for it....

Not sure wht the Calibration height is and it will vary between vehicles...the Calibration is done thus:

The vehicle rises to a set Sensor Reading Height ie so all sensors are reading 125 data points....you then measure each corner and tell the ECU how the car is sitting when all the sensors read 125....the ECU then extrapolates the correct ride heights from these measurements...

i.e when mine sits at 125 data points it could measure 805mm whereas Hippo's could be 795mm....the system then works out how many data points it should read at the 4 different ride heights and then stores these.
 
THATS THE BADGER SAINT V8 !!!! Thats wat i was looking for, there isnt any problem with the suspension now it just needs calibrating ! MEASUREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS ------->
OSF 800mm
NSF 820mm
OSR 775mm
NSR 795mm

So its defo in need of a square up !!!!!!!!!!!
 
yeah she leans to right slightly no one but me can notice lol ! Like i say she is in tomoz an landy im havin it calibrated, havin front level with rear, and havin it slightly lower than normal ( bout ten mm ) NOT for the chav look but because i found it HELL OF ALOT better at handlin than normal height !!!
 
Bad news !!!! Landrover CANT calibrate it !!!! They say cos its sat too high ( above 800mm ) it wont calibrate cos there t4 computer will only go up to 800mm an on the front of mine its above 800mm so calibration fails WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I know that it's a long shot but have you tried contacting the factory or Warwick University who do research for Land Rover? If their dealers can't repair their kit then I just wonder if the factory might be interested. As i said, a long shot but maybe worth a couple of phone calls.
