that might be the case but mine is not 4 wheel drive and incase you have no relised i am trying to find out how to make it 4 wheel drive if you do not know shut up and **** off!

Nick, for a start there's absolutely no need to be rude, I was trying to help you.

The fact remains that all production model Disco's are permanent 4 wheel drive.

I'm curious to know why you believe yours is only working in two wheel drive and is that the front or the rear axle which is driving? What is it doing/not doing that leads you to believe that it's only driving through 2 wheels?

Please don't be rude, I might be able to help you if you can just give a little more information

I was confused, my disco is 4wd, it's got the big aiming wheel you can hold in front of the chair, and three little wheels that make the air hotter and come out of the dashboard or the floor.

Gonna read back thru this fred tomorrow - too late now. Can't believe that is real but I also do. I really think he was that stupid - yeah talk about contradicting myself. Would love to hear from a Gaylander owner re wot the buggery he was talking about. I do think he was genuine tho.................
Worries me sometimes the eejits that buy LRs cus they all "wear the badge" as in people judge us all from the tossers that stand out from the crowd - cus they r tossers

I'm upset I missed all the fun last night.

Is that guy for real?

If so how can he be so thick and still be able to operate a computer and find the forum but still not know that his discovery is 4wd.

This is the kind of dickhead that should have his disco taken off him and buy a BMW or Merc.

I might be mistaken but I would have thought the TC would have helped prevent wheelspin at the front axel and helped re distribute the drive to the rear axel, at the very least one front wheel and one rear wheel should have been spining?

He could have a more serious problem, stripped splines on a half shaft/prop shaft, ****ed diff

Feel free to flame me if I'm wrong

depends if all 4 wheels were on ice. he didnt provide the info, talked like a simpleton and did not help matters.

I got caught out on new years with one wheel spinning in the mud and the rear ones on a 4" thick sheet of ice. i had to winch myself forward to get out of it. if he has popped a half shaft or a prop i doubt he could drive normally with it. and without diff lock he wouldnt be able to drive with a knackered half shaft.

OK, consider this a flame ...

He was a twunt. He was asked to provide more details and wouldn't other than he tried it on ice and the wheels spun!! WTF's that mean?

Has he come back asking for more help?
Has he provided more information?
Does he appear to be a twunt?

He was a twunt.

Dunno why I bothered ..... ;)
