Least she used a funnel I got a frantic fone call off a friend because she tried that and didn't even have the brains to use a funnel.

Would work tho, shes would be better off than the OP!

In my SAAB 900 Turbo the ONLY way to put in oil is down the dipstick tube!

This plan saves all the girly problems.

When I worra teenager I had a part time job at a petrol filling station, (in the olden days before self service we used to fill it for ya) While I was filling this womans petrol tank she decided she would check the oil. She proceded to open pints (remember them) of oil and pour them in. after about four tins had gone in I had finished filling her tank and walked round the front, She said "I cant understand how it needs so much" she was trying to fill the engine with oil. Didn't know about the dipstick she thought it should be full.!!!!

When I owned my little filling station way back in the 70s, one day a woman came in with a Hillman Imp and she was in a rage. Her husband had checked the oil, and it was very low, so he had shouted at her to fill it with oil. water and petrol. I told her I had no problem filling the water and the petrol, but I would NOT "FILL" the engine with oil. So she bought about a gallon and a half of engine oil, and she poured it in the filler cap until it was full, right to the top!

It started, after a struggle but the smoke was so bad I stopped it. One squirt on the throttle would probably have burst the alloy block from hydraulic shocks!

So she then phoned her husband to tell him she had done EXACTLY what he had told her to do, but there now seemed to be a smoke problem for some reason ....

He and I put the Imp up on the ramp and I drained the oil back out, while she smirked.

Score - Wife 1 ,,,, Husband 0
