Guys need a bit of help here started to replace the FPR on my 2003 disco
Problem is the bottom bolt :-(
I can get to it but I think the clown that had this before me rounded the nut
I don't want to make it any worse
Any help appreciated

Squeeze your hands down with 1/4" drive socket and extension bar and ratchet and you'll get it

ive split one with the 1/2 inch battery gun and adapter

Have you?:eek::eek::eek:

Even when using the 3/8 set (cos the holes in the alloys were too small for the 1/2 drive set) to undo wheel nuts I haven't managed to break one. I've broken a couple of 3/8 breaker bars cos I was too lazy to put spanners or big sockets over the hex heads on em and used my trolley jack handle for extra leverage on a 3/8 bar instead.:eek::rolleyes::D

I was struggling with the same bastard bolt less than 2weeks ago. Nightmare! I just could not get at it with my hands and whatever combination of sockets, extensions, etc. Then, with the only socket that would go on straight, I dropped it and couldn't find it :hurt: I gave in and took the inlet manifold back off (and the fuel cooler) which was not much easier to get off. What an absolute c*#% of a job! FPR was a doddle once manifold was out of the way.

Thanks guys
I will give it another try this weekend Irwin sockets ordered(hope they solve the probolem) is their less room on a 2003 model? With the three pipe FPR? Also where can you get new bolts for it
