Disco 2 D2 Fuel Pessure regulator

On a 2003 Discovery 2 td5 motor type 15P fuel pressure regulator with three pipes connected two pipes come out to the side of the motor and one goes forward.

Of the two pipes on the side one is connected to the fuel cooler an one with a rubber tube goes to the back of the vehicle which is which up or down on the regulator block. ?

The engine was changed 2008 under guarantee and the connections are a little different, but I see on the spare part pictures of the later regulator block that the short tube goes to the bottom as you showed on your picture of the earlier model. So, I guess it will be the same.

Those two ports(2, 3) are similar on both FPRs, the newer unit has one pipe more on the side but that's for the return
