Yeah mints. That is the old historic road "Fosse way". It is a UCR and Legal to drive.
When i was told thats where he was i knew i had driven it before and couldnt understand where he had got stuck. As it was re surfaced some years ago. There is some "off piste" areas but there so rutted and messed up that no one uses them as your guaranteed to get stuck.

It is interesting to note that Google Maps and the Ordnance Survey do not agree the road number as Fosse Farm.
OS marks it as B4455, but Google says B4453.
Google Maps is wrong.
B4453 runs west to east from the A445 at Leamington Spa all the way to the A45 just west of Rugby.
B4455 runs south to north from the roundabout on the A429 just north of Halford (Oh NO!) all the Fosse Way to where it meets A5 near Claybrooke Magna.
B4453 and B4455 cross at Princethorpe.

From memory, fosse way is a roman road dating back eons. It is nearly perfectly straight and north to south. There is a name for the roads coming off parallel very like manhattens avenues and streets. Can't remember what called right now: -/
