171k miles.

The right-hand camshaft sprocket broke and caused damage to the valvetrain on that side. The engine still ran on the left bank just long enough to pull in to the kerb.

I’ve taken off the RHS cylinder head enough to inspect the pistons and bores, which are all fine.

Top spec HSE with cubby fridge and all sorts of extras. Far too good to scrap. A recon head would get this going again.

It’s listed on ebay, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124320435905 but if a LZ member wants it I’ll let it go for £1000. Inverness.

It was the wrong end of the country for me.:(
It might still be available. The winning bidder was ‘not uk-based’, shall we say, and sent a message asking for more photos after the auction ended. I sent them, but he claimed they hadn’t been sent and cancelled the sale. Why you would want more photos after you’ve committed to the sale I can’t imagine.

I’ve had a fairly firm offer from Northants 4x4 who might be coming this weekend. If that doesn’t pan out, I’ll update here. Shiply.com are quite good for transport.
