    P38A Axle Oil Seals

I've tried a few different brands: genuine, bearmach and britpart. All have leaked so far. Ball-joints are fairly new from before this started leaking. I didn't align the hub though since some people said it wasn't necessary.

    P38A Axle Oil Seals

Sorry, yes I am talking about the front axle. Good point, I'll double check that when I get some new seals for the next time I take it apart.

    P38A Axle Oil Seals

Does anyone have any advice on fitting axle oil seals to a P38? I've had three attempts now and one side is still leaking. The oil seal wasn't originally leaking but I removed the hub/driveshaft for something else and decided to replace the seals which turned out to be a bad idea. I'm basically...

P38A Are P38's the new Classic

I've attached the page on the Pegasus name from the James Taylors book. The next page basically goes on to say they then went on to change the name to something less interesting "Project 38A".

'ABS fault' sign on start up

It's normal for the ABS light to be on until you go over a certain speed . It's not normal for it the message "ABS fault" to display every time you start it if that's what you are saying.

    P38A EAS Height Sesnsor Questions

I recently replaced my front height sensors after I got a fault code from one of them, after replacing them I calibrated the system using some blocks I made. The front left and right sensor seems to have a massive difference between them, I've attached a picture of the Nanocom showing the...

I'd go for ARP head studs instead of the stretch bolts when you put it back together.

I've got Lynx which can do diagnostics on the diesel (not very well though, Nanocom is 1000x better but I've only got it unlocked for GEMS) and I'm in Newcastle a couple of times a week if you want to try reading the faults/live data.

    2000 W Reg Kickdown

It's electronic - no cable. I had a similar issue where on kickdown mine would just keep banging off the limiter and never change up until the throttle was released a bit. That was caused by the transfer ECU being burned. Check yours goes into high/low OK and remove the transfer box ecu and...

    P38A Jerking when throttle released

Hi all, Car is a '95 P38 4.6, when the throttle is released the car seems to jerk sometimes once sometimes twice. It seems to only do this in the range 40-60mph so I based on that I think it's when the torque converter is locked. When doing around 65-70mph+ it doesn't jerk when the throttle is...

I don't see the problem in writing a how to. There are plenty of how-tos and resources out there for people who are looking to DIY install. Buying an LPG system from any reputable source will come with instructions on how to do it yourself and usually support from the supplier.
