Your light units are from a later model and may be after-market parts. There should be a vent tube at the back. Make sure that this is not obstructed. If they are both the same, it could be that they are cheap imitations and are not vented.

TAH, Does the back of your old head unit look like this? If so, I presume the unidentified yellow plug is fitted to the top socket. If it is, then it's for an auxiliary audio output for an amplifier, which you probably do not have fitted.

Any competent auto electrician should be able to connect an ammeter up to your vehicle and systematically pull each fuse to determine the source of any significant drain. The ones you have spoken to have obviously got too many customers or too much money. (I suspect both).

DAB radio propogation is not suited to mobile applications, where the receiver is moving towards or away from the transmitter at speed.

Sounds like a linkage problem.

I wonder why satellite radio has never caught on in the UK? I would pay a few bob a month for a decent selection of channels. I have an after-market touch screen head unit in my HSE which I love to bits, but the digital TV reception is total crap and I can't get any radio channels on it.
