Hi there,
I suspect I am not alone here but I have a drain on my 2002 L322 that takes the battery from (apparently)fully charged to not enough to turn her over in about 3 days of not driving.

I have visited 3 local auto electrical dealers and along with the head shaking and intakes of breath, none of them want to do a diagnostic because of the 'overly complicated electrics on those' or 'wouldnt know where to start' 'take me too long' etc etc

My question is, has anyone found a good auto electrician that is familiar with or is confident enough to take one on ?

I guess it would be nice to be local, Im in South Croydon in Surrey or work in Staines, Middlesex so either of those locations would be ideal, but for a good recommendadtion I could travel !

I have tested the alternator and that seems to be putting out a fair charge.

Anyway, suggestions gratefully received......

Heater resister unit fail also the digital display causes a drain too very rare also the was comp full of water too

Any competent auto electrician should be able to connect an ammeter up to your vehicle and systematically pull each fuse to determine the source of any significant drain.

The ones you have spoken to have obviously got too many customers or too much money. (I suspect both).
