Ive just replaced my stereo with an after market one (I have the plug and play ISO connected variety so was easy)
question - above the standard ISO for speaker and power etc, is a small yellow plug with a couple of wires in it plugged into what looks like an ISO slot (same width) but isn't
whats that for? something pre-wired? do i need what ever it was for? (Stereo seems to work just fine)

anyone know what this interestnig connector does (or did when it was connected to the factory system?)

maybe.. pre-wired or something (I don't have steering wheel controls personally)
Just interested really as I don't think Im missing anything. All the functions work (perm live, ignition live etc)

ITs not a yellow wire, its a yellow CONNECTOR BLOCK - can't remember the wire colours of the 2 wires in it, but its not plugged into anything now and I don't see what difference its made. Maybe I will take a pic and post it or something

TAH,

Does the back of your old head unit look like this?

If so, I presume the unidentified yellow plug is fitted to the top socket.

If it is, then it's for an auxiliary audio output for an amplifier, which you probably do not have fitted.
