Hi , does anyone know where i could get the metal cover (that bolts to the engine bay body) of the fuel filter for a 300TDI ? .The bleed screw has just threaded itself ( whoopee ) We are just outside Derby, but the Landy is at home . Any help would appreciated Thanks Folks .:)

Agree as above ,tappets need to be reset each time, :)

Hi , agree with disco2 ,rebleed system again , in order to illiminate air lock ;).

Spot the bodge,:doh: rip it off and go standard or go for two inch lift with decent shocks etc .Much better;).

Hi,Elefantman. as said above, bleed system first, then check the system over. Make sure there are no leaks around the system ie calipers etc.It could well be the vacume assit but worth a look about .See manual or check out the other sites on here you may well find infoe to help .;)

Hi,sounds like as you say tired damper, suggest checking rest of steering linkage an all ,just to be sure :)

In a way glad to hear its not the gearbox, hope the clutch is not to bad .:)

Hi,and ouch if it is the shaft,but you should be able to sort it out one way or another, or as you say, recon box but hunt around for best prices.Hope you find what you are looking for .:) Good point red hand.

Hi,Roger 1966. Did the RAC geezer say it was the gear box or clutch?or not sure . If gear box see related info on here .Same for clutch. Otherwise check out ask a mechanic .Try engine section have'nt looked lately but worth a look.

Hi guys,300tdi or td5? well they're both landy's and most of us luv em. We have fun fixing em,:) breaking em :eek: and fixing them again. ;). You would be hard pressed to find a minta around the 97 to 2000 ish ,without some work done or to be done on it, after all some are over 12 plus years old...
